10 Awesome Travel Experiences Found Through Instagram

Instagram is probably the place where I have found most of my bucket list travel experiences. If you scroll past the selfies you might just find a whole new world of epic things to do. I regularly sit and scroll through my feed marvelling at the awesome photos and amazing places. It really makes me want to get up and book a flight right away.

I have been so inspired recently by some instagram accounts I thought I just had to share some of these cool experiences they have had with all of you!

Swim with sharks at in Moorea French Polynesia

Going to French Polynesia has been a dream of mine for so long. The beautiful crystal clear lagoon and the spectacular views has my heart exploding every time I see a photo. In places like Moorea you often see sharks and stingrays swimming by while snorkeling and it seems pretty incredible!

Watch the Northern Lights from your bed in Finnish Lapland

What would be more incredible than lying in your bed with a magical snow covered wonderland outside watching the Northern Lights? I don’t know about you but that seem pretty amazing right. At the Northern lights ranch you can do just that and even when you don’t get to see the lights you can still have a romantic evening gazing at the stars.

Experience Cinema Paradiso at Soneva Jani in Maldives

Want to watch a movie in utter style then you better head to the Maldives. Cinema Paradiso is the first overwater silent cinema in the Maldives. Just wear your bluetooth headphones and leave nature at peace. I can’t think of a more romantic setting for a movie, can you?

Hike frozen trails in Alberta Canada

Winter in Banff Alberta is a pretty special place. Ice and snow covers the mountains and waterfalls freeze creating stunning landscapes. Hike to the Johnston Canyon on a series of easy trails and boardwalks to get to some spectacular winter scenery.

We hiked an hour long through the icy trails and explored these beautiful ice caves!!! โ„๏ธ๐Ÿ—ฟโ›ฐ The waterfalls in Alberta, Canada freeze up during the winters and form these massive icicle statues!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ If you do decide to travel here, make sure youโ€™re with a guide so you donโ€™t fall through the ice! We also had to wear special ice cleats and waterproof boots to make sure we didnโ€™t fall. A bit challenging but superrrrr cool and worth it to see things like this! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—โ„๏ธโ„๏ธโ„๏ธ PS thank you to my friend @storyofsage who took this epic shot of meeee! Go show him some love heโ€™s an amazing content creator โœจโœจโœจ – @travelalberta #TravelAlberta #Canada #IceCaves #Travel #Traveling #TravelBlog #Winter #WinterWonderland #Passport #Traveler #Travelers #TravelisLife #TravelersNotebook #Effortlyss #TravelBug #TravelTips #TravelPorn #Hotel #Hotels #Travelingram #TravelMore

Go to a traditional Lu’au in Hawaii

Luau is another word for feast or party and in Hawaii that means a lot of delicious food and beer as well as traditional music and hula dancing. Dress up and try your hand at doing the hula or just enjoy the atmosphere.

Experiencing a Luโ€™au has been on my Hawaii bucket list forever (probably since I saw Blue Crush!๐Ÿ˜‚) Last night I got to hang with some locals and learn how to make head pieces, enjoy the nightly entertainment and I even got pulled up on stage to dance! ๐Ÿ™ˆ :::::: Thanks you to @thingstodoinhawaii for making this all happen and ending my birthday on a high note! ๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽˆ :::::: And to my babes who have now turned into family @globetrotting_gingertravel, @officiallyquigley, @mvandersluis & @elonatheexplorer, thank you for wanting to celebrate my birthday in Hawaii! It means the world to me! ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ #lisashawaiithree0 :::::: Thanks to @revolve @loversfriendsla for dressing me for the birthday celebration, I love this dress! #luau #hawaiianstyle #revolvearoundtheworld #revolveclothing ๐Ÿ“ท: @mvandersluis

Swing over the jungle in Bali Indonesia

For a few dollars you can live your best instagram life and do a swing over Bali. There are five different swings with different views to choose from with the highest one being 78m!

Explore the hidden lagoon in Coron Phillipines

Take a ten to fifteen minute boat ride from Kayangan lake to the hidden lagoon and experience the breathtaking nature of the Philippines! During low tide a small opening appears which you can enter from but during high tide you will have to trek down some stairs embedded in the rocks.

Eat breakfast with Giraffes in Kenya at Giraffe Manor

This small hotel in a suburb in Nairobi is home to a number of endangered Rothschild giraffes. It operates a breeding program to reintroduce them back into the wild. These giraffes love to visit guests in the morning, poking their long neck into the hotel in hopes of getting a treat.

Visit Yosimite National Park in California USA

This beautiful park is in California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range. Its home to iconic vistas like the granite cliffs of half dome and the towering Bridalveil fall. In its nearly 1,200 square miles you can find an amazing array of sights and picture perfect views like the one below. Its enough to make you want to do on a US road trip right away!

I visited Yosemite for the first time in the spring of 2012 (it was also my first trip to America and my first National Park experience). I couldnโ€™t believe somewhere that beautiful actually existed… and there began my love for the National Parks. I have since returned to Yosemite a handful of times and fall in love over and over again each visit. I just put together a video and a blog post of my most recent California road trip, to the Redwoods and Yosemite. Click the link in my profile to check them out – let me know what you think! โœจ Trip in partnership with @nature_valley. Note – this photo was taken on a previous visit to Yosemite during spring #RoadTrip #California #Sponsored #Redwoods #Yosemite
