Bars in Cape Town
Chinchilla rooftop cafe and bar in Camps Bay
The view you get inside and outside at Chinchilla is pretty epic. Its the latest addition to the Camps Bay strip and I love the vibe! Colourful cushions and interesting decor makes the perfect backdrop for that perfect picture. The cocktails are great and surprisingly affordable ( try the mojito, it’s so good! ) Being higher up means you can enjoy the view without the noise of Victoria road and the beach.
Cape To Cuba in Kalk bay
I have been going to Cape To Cuba for years and although the interior seems to be ever changing it always looks great. Sand and benches give you a beach vibe with faded pink and turquoise to add pops of colour. They have all the cocktails, some great like cuban snacks ( the cuban bread is insane! ) and life bands on weekends.
If you come early enough you can even snag yourself the coveted swing which was just made for instagram moments!
The Silo bar
The Silo hotel bar looks out through its incredible and now famous windows onto the hear of Cape Town. Its plush jewel coloured interiors will make you feel like a million dollars while sipping one of their many cocktails. The Silo also has a rooftop bar which is stunning but is only open to hotel guests during peak season. You can however book in off peak.
The Grand Africa
The Grand is a firm favorite with locals and foreigners alike, and if you go you will see why. Set on the beach at granger bay it has views of the sparkling Atlantic and one incredible vibe. Its a bit on the expensive side but the atmosphere especially on weekends makes up for it. If you are not a fan of sand they also have a very nice inside area and inside bar.
Grand Daddy Rooftop Bar
Sitting in between a bunch of airstreams on a rooftop sipping picture perfect cocktails is just as awesome as it sounds. Take in the city views and the quirky decor and definitely order some nachos ( hummus and sundried tomato, hell yes! ) If you want to be even more extra go to one of their rooftop movie nights!
