Staying at the lovely Alpenrose Hotel and Gardens

We spent the second part of our trip to Switzerland in Wilderswil at the Alpenrose hotel and gardens. Wilderswil is a little village very close to Interlaken and its beautiful with plenty of things to do nearby. This makes it a great location to stay when you are visiting the area.

The Alpenrose Hotel and Gardens

The Alpenrose hotel and gardens is one of those places you immediately feel at home at. We got off our train and walked a few minutes up the road and we were there. This is great if you are usiog the train to explore the area like we did. Its one of the oldest buildings in Wilderswil and it really has that Swiss charm!

Our room was on the ground floor which meant we had a lovely open balcony to step out onto and admire the gorgeous gardens. The owner Carl ( who is funnily enough a South African ) loves landscaping so when he took over the hotel it was his mission to create a beautiful outside area. I really think it adds a lot to the charm of the place.

It was absolutely fantastic to just step out of our room and almost into the nearby jacuzzi as well! A glass of champagne, fairy lights and a fluffy beanie was all I needed to have a perfect afternoon soaking in the bubbles!

While we were staying at the Alpenrose hotel and gardens we did a day trip up Junfraujoch. We  could actually see from outside our room as soon as the skies cleared. I highly recommend going up to the highest train station in Europe and then heading down for some beer and schnitzel at the Husi Beer House in Interlaken!

We also visited the the magical village of Lauterbrunnen and walked along the beautiful canals in Interlaken. I could easily see myself staying at the Alpenrose for a week exploring all the nearby areas.

The Alpenrose Hotel looks like the perfect place to stay in Wilderswil. I like the idea of the garden so you can breath in some of that fresh Swiss air, it might seem strange but if you live in a city it makes a huge difference. The jacuzzi looks spot on!

Wow thats an awesome place to stay around Interlaken. We loved that beautiful structure of the hotel that are mostly seen in Switzerland. And the location of the hotel really makes it easy to visit most of the places in Switzerland.

I really love the jaccuzzi, I bet it’s amazing to sit in it, in winter, when it snows. The gardens are so pretty, you can see that the owner is very passionate about having his hotel looking perfect and pays attention to all the details. The architecture looks very pretty as well, a typical Swiss building.

Alpen rose hotels and gardens look so beautiful. And it is so convenient that it is just walking distance from the railway station. Jacuzzi and Champagne sounds like an ideal way for people like me to relax after roaming around the highest train station.

Alpenrose looks so lovely with its’ gardens right outside your ground floor room. It seems like the perfect place to stay if you plan on maneuvering around the area. A bonus to have a hot tub right outside as well. I would love to visit Switzerland to and take in those picturesque views.
