• Getting my Glow on with Australian Gold & Wet n Wild and Win a Hamper worth R1500

For me Summer is all about looking glowing, bronzed and healthy without resorting to lying in the sun. Fresh glowing makeup with pops of colour and a nice evenly tanned skin is what I am after, especially when going on holiday in tropical places!

When I recently went to Mauritius there were two brands I just couldn’t go without and if you haven’t you need to try them out!

    Australian Gold:

It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of self tanners and not a fan of getting too much sun. I fell in love with Australian gold ages ago and now I really can’t live without the amazing smelling range.

I had been using their range of SPF products for a few Summers because they have such an extensive range of great sun tan lotions. Before our trip to Mauritius I decided to also give their self tanners a go and I wasn’t disappointed. They also smell great ( such a big bonus when it comes to self tan ) They last long and they give you an even brown ( not orange ) tan.

They also just brought out a reef friendly, eco conscious botanical range which I am so excited about. It hasn’t been launched in SA just yet but I am really hoping it will before next Summer!

One of my favorite Australian gold products is their SPF 50 face guard which comes in a stick form. Its so convenient to carry around in my bag and just pop on whenever I feel I need some extra protection!

    Wet n Wild:

Another brand I have been using for a while but only recently tried more of is Wet n Wild. When they first launched in South Africa I bought a few of their affordable lipsticks. I fell in love with one called Bare it all ( the perfect nude ) and I have probably repurchased it about 30 times since then.  I actually buy one every time I see it as they always seem to be sold out. Now I keep a tube in every handbag because I am so scared to run out.

The really epic thing about Wet n Wild is that not only are they affordable and great quality. The brand is also vegan and cruelty free!

So you already know I am crazy about their lipstick but there are a few more products I have been seriously crushing on for Summer.

Their Megaglo hello halo liquid highlighter is probably my favorite highlighter I have used so far. They have a whole bunch of different shades but I have been wearing Goddess Glow which is a gold one. It blends so easily and really adds dimension to my otherwise matte makeup. I use it above my upper lip, on my cheekbones and on my nose.

Something I struggle with is redness especially around my nose area. The Wet n Wild Mega cushion color corrector in green has really helped minimise redness before applying foundation. I can’t wait to try out the other colors!

The Photofocus natural finish setting spray is a great size to pop in my bag and a life saver for hot weather where you don’t want your makeup melting off. I went with the natural finish ( they also have matte ) to keep my skin looking fresh and glowing, perfect for a beach holiday!

This summer I have been loving the Guided Glow from the Wet n Wild hello Halo range and makeup brushes. The highlighter blends seamlessly and adds an amazing glo and effect to my cheeks, nose, and cupids bow. The brushes on the other hand are amazing for contour, blush, and eyeshadow application
The more I use them the softer they get. I am so glad that they are vegan because I want to support more brands like them! IG @fabruwer

I have been absolutely obsessed with the Wet ‘n Wild range for some time now especially the Megaglo Contouring Pallete Contour, Make-Up Stick Blush and of course the Megaglo Highlighting Powder. With these products alone I am able to achieve the infamous ‘No MakeUp MakeUp Look’ which is perfect for that sun kissed beach vibe. To take it up a notch I make sure I have used my Australian Gold Gradual Sunless Lotion which gives you that beautiful natural glow and a gradual tan. These are my absolute must have products for summer !!!

I’m the palest South African you’ve seen and I burn like a crispy potato any time I walk in the sun. So the Botanical SPF70 Sunscreen from Australian Gold is something that has changed my life — especially when I visit my family in Brisbane and we spend all day on the beach in Currimundi. A girl needs her sunscreen!

What an awesome giveaway for the new year . Thank you . I have never tried any of the Australian Gold products, but after reading I would definitely love to try the self tanner and SPF 50 face guard . I love the fact it comes in a stuck form . I love the Wet’nWild brand as it’s so affordable and great quality. I would definitely try the photofocus setting spray . When going out on a hot day I alway worry about my second face melting off . I love the Wet’n Wild mascara primer. It works just as great as other more expensive brands. I have oily skin so I love the Mega Glow highlighters in the powder form. Wet’n Wild has been my go to brand for years now

I have a very light skin and since my high school days of turning orange when using self tanners, I stay away from them all, but after reading your post, I’m ready to try something new as I’m not a big fan lying in the sun. I realy need to try these products.
