How I edit my instagram photos is probably the post I get requested the most to do! I love editing so sometimes I do spend quite a while getting it just right! You can follow me on instagram – @campsbaygirl
I take all my photos in raw so the first thing I do is to import them to Lightroom. That is where I do my first bits of editing while the file is still in raw and I can make loads of changes! I usually do shadows and highlights in lightroom as well as any lens correction, sharpening and enhancing the colours a bit.
I use photoshop a lot with my editing for different reasons. Sometimes I like playing around and combining different photos to make one image but I wont get into that now. The main reason I use it is is to resize ( i know I can do this on lightroom but I hardly ever do haha ) and to use the selective colour function. It gives me so much control over all the colours in the photo and its great to play around and find a tone that works for you.
This is an app you can download onto your phone with a whole bunch of cool presets to give your photos an awesome feel. I use this sometimes when the photo looks better with a filter but not all the time. My favorite filters are C3, A1 and E2 but different types of photos ( maybe non sunset ones ) might work better with other filters. I bought all of the ones vsco has to offer and although I only use 2 or three i still like having them just in case!
I also use vsco to size my photo for instagram and sometimes I even give it a bit of an extra edit on there.
This is photoshop for your phone and it has quite a few cool free functions. The vibrance on here is much better than on snapseed in my opinion and you can also flip photos easily and add luminance is there is a bit too much noise. I guess you can do all these things in lightroom but sometimes it just easier on my phone after completely editing the pic first.
