Beyond Bungalows is an oasis and instagram dream in Canggu, Bali. Canggu is a hipsters paradise with delicious food, happening beach bars and loads of digital nomads. It was once a sleepy village but in the last couple of years it has exploded and you can really find some of the cutest accommodation there.
Beyond Bungalows has been high on my list of must stay places in Bali ever since I saw a dreamy image on instagram. The cute interior mixed with dreamy pool and lust gardens definitely sealed the deal for me.
The rooms at Beyond Bungalows
There are four different room options at Beyond Bungalows. We stayed in two of them as the one we really wanted was not available the night we arrived.
- Superior Bungalow
- Master with bathtub
- Deluxe king
- Deluxe twin
All in all there are 7 rooms and you even have the option to book out the entire villa if you want! Our first night was spent in a deluxe twin which has a comfy bed and outdoor shower area. All the rooms are really nicely decorated with sliding doors opening towards the pool, fast wifi and obviously nice cool aircon!
The second night we stayed in our absolute dream bungalow. It is double volume with an open bedroom section at the top, a huge kitchen and dining area and even a lounge with a hammock. I could easily stay there for a long time as it’s literally apartment sized! This is such an ideal spot to use as a base when staying in Canggu if you want some privacy as well as a kitchen etc. All the other bungalows share a kitchen and lounge in the main area which is pretty awesome as well and a spot we had lunch at the one day.
Beyond Bungalows is perfect for a romantic stay or honeymoon and I feel like it is definitely geared towards couples. The outside area is also large enough for everyone to enjoy.
This is a question that gets asked a lot! Does the villa supply a floating breakfast? I am happy to report that Beyond Bungalows does a great floating breakfast! You need to place your order the day before and then just be ready in the pool the next morning. It was my first time having a floating breakfast and it was definitely all kinds of awesome.
I had the rainbow pancakes ( because why not! ) and Mike had the avo smash with poached eggs. I actually thought it was going to be crazy difficult to eat in the pool but thankfully it was pretty easy.
Airport transfers and scooter hire
If you are not in the mood to sort out your own transport then definitely get a transfer through Beyond Bungalows. It costs 250k Rupiah for an airport pickup or drop-off and if you book for 5 days or more its complimentary! We ended up using that same transport company throughout our Bali travels which was great!
They also organised scooters for us that were ready and waiting at the villa. The awesome staff showed us how to use it and it wasn’t even 30 min and we were off down the road for dinner!
