• Tropical Hair Guide With Marc Anthony & Wet Brush

I have gotten so many questions about what I do to prevent my hair from damage on a tropical holiday. I am a very low maintenance kind of girl especially when on holiday. I don’t have time to sit for ages and detangle my hair or put on hair masks etc. That’s why I love having products that save time and keep my hair looking and feeling good!

    Marc Anthony hair

My favorite products from the Marc Anthony hair collection must be from the refreshing coconut and coconut and shea butter ranges. Not only do they smell divine, especially for a tropical vacay. They also have some great products that work so well in tropical destinations

I used three products on my recent trip to Mauritius:

    Dry conditioner

I had actually never heard of dry conditioner before and it was an absolute delight to use! When my hair dries after swimming in the ocean it tends to be a bit on the frizzy side especially when I forgot to use leave in conditioner when its still wet. The dry conditioner made my hair feel softer to the touch, less frizzy and way more nourished without making it sticky or oily!

    Dry shampoo

I do love dry shampoo especially after all the water restrictions in Cape Town. In this instance it really helped save time so I didn’t need to constantly wash my hair between swimming and gym! It instantly revived my hair for dinner time leaving it soft and fresh and smelling so good! It also doesn’t have white residue so I didn’t have to stress about looking like a ghost 😛

    Leave in conditioner

Leave in conditioner is my best friend in tropical places. My hair gets frizzy and damaged from the salty water and the heat. If left I get awful split ends and no one wants that! Enter leave in conditioner! I pop it my bag when i go swimming and quickly give my hair spritz while its still wet. This one from Marc Anthony is also great because it’s free from Sulfates, SLS, Parabens, Phthalates.

    Wet Brush

    Travel brush

I actually use the kiddies detangler as a travel brush but they do also have the mini brushes you could use for that. It’s so convienient to pop that in my handbag or hand luggage while traveling and sorts out airplane seat head ( it’s a thing! ) easily.

    Shower detangler

The shower detangler is such a life saver for me! My hair is very long and loves a good tangle 😛 I put this in my beach bag and then just gave my hair a good comb through if I got it wet or after rinsing off at the outside shower. This also helped me keep my hair beach waves looking good and not too crazy!

I would love to win this! I have been struggling with post pregnancy hair (2years on and it’s still breaking). And in December we are going to the beach for two weeks and I know the sun and salt will damage it further! Your hair always looks so great, serious hair envy over here. @carlavdwesty on Instagram

I have grown my hair and now at a point where it’s super long. It also happens to be quite thick and I colour it too and sometimes knots just get out of hand so the wet brush would absolutely save me! Dry shampoo is an everyday winner anyway especially living in Cape Town with the restrictions! (Insta handle @cyndybennett23)

The dry shampoo! To make work mornings easier and getting to the beach in summer quicker! Also my hair gets oily in front much quicker than the back (in a day actually) so I have to wash it often which is drying my hair out, dry shampoo would definitely cut down on how much I wash my hair and I’d be saving water!
Thank you for thinking of us when you find great products! ❤️

I love the March Anthony products! I’ve recently started using some & my friends have already noticed a difference! I would love to try some of the products that you have mentioned here as we are always on the beach or in the pool & my very long, naturally curly hair tends to get damaged a lot.

I spent the year going blonde, and then on my last trip to the hairdresser the bleach just wrecked my hair, now I’ve had to go dark again and my hair is dry and sad, plus some free hair products before I move from Jozi to Cape Town in Jan will really help the budget! Oh! And there’s the fact that I’ll be living close to the BEACH soon! Yaaay! My insta handle is @lifeofcands <3
